We at The Cricket Effect are passionate about changing the way people eat, and the way they think about food and sustainability, specifically surrounding the stigma towards insect consumption.
We are a team of dedicated workers driven towards making a positive impact on the world. Through cricket flour being a sustainable food option, we are able to lower society's carbon footprint, while giving twice the normal amount of protein!
Crickets contain twice as much protein, use only 10% of the land, 1% of the water, require 6 times less feed and emit 80 times less methane than beef. Cricket flour is a sustainable option for the future, and at The Cricket Effect we want to introduce insect consumption into the daily diets of the western world!
Our Mission
To engage Australian consumers with the global issues of food security and sustainability through promoting the inclusion of insects in a standard diet. We will support the speedier transition of insect consumption into practice by disguising crickets in a more palatable form.
